Globalization

Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world and results in the expansion of international, economic, political, and cultural activities, Globalization is often associated with "Americanization." Japan used to be the country with the highest life expectancy, this was before they had taco bells, KFCs , and McDonalds on every corner. Now their life expectancy has gone down due to the increase in fast food restaurants. When money is spent on these fast food chains the money is sent back to America so the "collectors" can make even more money. We learned in class on Friday about Japan and what it is like there because of globalization; the air quality is bad, there are many heavy cigarette smokers and, as i already said many fast foo chains. Another example of civilization is a process that is old civilization. "The Silk Road" was a collection of trade routes connecting the markets of Asia with Arabia, Mediterranean, and, Eastern Africa. These are set as trade routes so that time ago people could trade silk or tea with the Chinese in return for something they do not have or need. The Silk Road was established as early as the first century BCE.
