Our Fast Moving World

After watching the video today in class I had a few thoughts on some facts we saw today. The first fact was "1 in 4 workers has been with their current employers for less then a year." My reaction to this fact was that I was surprised because my grandfather talks about working at the same place for the past 50 years and he is still working. My dad is also saying he has been at his job for 20 years and the fact that most people don't work today, get fired, or quit says how much has changed in the work ethic through out the years. This effects me in my life because if it is only about one year today what will it be when I am older and ready for permanent job.The second fact that I found shocking was "If Facebook were a country it would be the third largest country behind china and India." This surprised me because I knew that Facebook was a big community but I did not expect it to be bigger then the United States, which has roughly 15.68 trillion people. That is a lot of people and just thinking that Facebook has more people on it is weird.
The third fact that was surprising to me was that "the first text message was sent in December 1992." I thought that this event was a few years later in time. This effects me because if shows how much has happened in just a little over 20 years. This keeps me wondering what will happen in the next 10 or 20 years that will be a big change in the technology world.
